What is a Masonic Lodge?

What is a Masonic Lodge?

A Masonic Lodge is like a local chapter of Freemasons. It's where we meet, support each other, and work on becoming better men. Reagan Masonic Lodge is proud to be part of this tradition, guided by the Grand Lodge of Texas.

Reagan Masonic Lodge: Our Place in the Community

Reagan Lodge No. 1037, established in 1910, was the first Masonic lodge in the Houston Heights. It has been an important part of the community ever since, with members actively involved in various charitable activities and community projects. The lodge has had several homes over the years, finally settling into its current building on Heights Boulevard in 1948. 1 Reagan Lodge is dedicated to upholding the Masonic traditions of making good men better and continuing its legacy of service for the next 100 years and beyond. The Degrees of Freemasonry

In Freemasonry, members progress through three levels, or degrees:

  • Entered Apprentice: This is the first step in your Masonic journey.

  • Fellowcraft: The second degree, where you delve deeper into Masonic principles.

  • Master Mason: The final degree, signifying your commitment to Freemasonry.

What We Believe

Freemasonry welcomes men from all walks of life. We respect each other's beliefs and come together based on these shared values:

  • Faith: We believe in a higher power, a guiding force in our lives.

  • Immortality of the Soul: We believe our spirits live on beyond this earthly life.

  • Brotherly Love: We value friendship and treat each other with kindness and respect.

  • Charity: We are dedicated to helping those in need and making a difference in our community.

  • Truth: We believe in the pursuit of knowledge and understanding.
